Vista Verde is a luxury ranch located just north of Steamboat Springs, CO.  Spacious log cabins, meals freshly prepared by talented chefs, and luxury cabins all are reasons that draw folks to Vista Verde for the first time, but they come back for the laid-back atmosphere, personalized service, diverse offering of the activities, and the staff who make their ranch experience so memorable.  During the Summer and Autumn months guests can try mountain biking, yoga, horsemanship clinics, fly fishing, trail rides, cattle work and cooking and wine tasting classes.  Kids, tweens, and teens love the engaging programs for their different age groups, and adults traveling without children appreciate our adult-only weeks in the fall and winter.  When snow turns the ranch into a winter wonderland, the activities outside include back country skiing, tubing, sleigh rides, snow shoeing, ice fishing, yoga, and snowmobiling while indoors guests warm up with cooking classes, leather working, wine tasting, and more.

Lodging Overview

The private, luxurious log cabins range from one to four bedrooms with living rooms, wood stoves and hot tubs out on the deck. The convenient, spacious lodge rooms have comfortable sitting areas and balconies with mountain views. Amenities include fully stocked snack bars, coffee makers, robes, plus much more. Daily housekeeping and turndown service is included with a variety of options.

Recreation Overview

In addition to a fine riding program featuring small, personalized rides and helpful, informative clinics, our other programs- hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, and culinary sessions to name a few- are equally in-depth, adventuresome, and just plain fun. In the winter months, our cross-country ski program offers customized tours through the untouched backcountry in addition to skate, classic and telemark opportunities. On the heels of that program are options such as snowshoeing, horseback riding, horsemanship clinics, sleigh rides, tubing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and more.

Dining Overview

Our talented chefs prepare three bountiful meals each day. The meals vary from casual family style cookouts on the trail or the sundeck to elegant white tablecloth dinners served in the main lodge. Families eat together for most meals except for a few nights when the kids have their own Dine 'n Dash dinner while the adults enjoy a longer, more gourmet dinner. The Chefs also offer a weekly cooking class and wine tasting. Most dietary restrictions are easily accommodated.
